The Vilcabamba Pilgrimage

Sacred Valley, Peru,
Sep 14 - 23, 2026

Walk Into Who You Truly Are

Step into a journey where the world falls away, and only what truly matters remains. The Dreaming in Unison Pilgrimage is a sacred walk — ten days of silence, ceremony, and communion with the land and with your own soul.

Each step becomes a prayer, each mile draws you closer to your essence, each night beneath the stars a threshold into a new chapter of life.

For those ready to meet themselves as they truly are, this pilgrimage offers the chance to release old patterns, listen deeply to the Earth, and awaken to the intelligence of spirit.

Vilcabamba Pilgrimage: Sacred Valley in Peru

From September 14th to 23th - 2026, we will move through the landscapes of Vilcabamba and Espíritu Pampa, beginning in the high Andes and descending into lush tropical valleys.

The journey begins in Cusco, with a six-hour van transfer through the Sacred Valley, passing high mountain passes, Inca villages, and cloud forests, before we step onto the trail itself.

While many of the trails in this region are known for being intense and physically demanding, this pilgrimage is not designed as an extreme endurance challenge. Our intention is not conquest, but communion. For this reason, we have chosen one of the gentlest and most accessible routes — a path that welcomes beginners and those with limited high-mountain trekking experience, while still carrying the beauty and power of the Andes.

For seven days, we walk the trek itself, carrying only what is essential, guided by the rhythm of the land and the mystery of the path. Tents under the stars become home; meals, tea, and snacks sustain the body; and a devoted team of guides, chefs, and porters supports every step. Horses carry our duffels, allowing us to move lightly and freely.

During the day, we practice noble silence, moving along the trail with mindfulness and presence. This quiet rhythm naturally supports reflection and awareness, especially during our morning moments and walks. For the rest of the day, we make space for gentle conversation, connection, and shared council — a circle for reflection, storytelling, and ceremony — closing the day with presence, care, and the heart of community.

Our Program: The Journey

Preparation & Arrival

We kindly ask that you arrive in Cusco a few days in advance. The Andes are high, and giving your body time to acclimatise will allow you to begin the pilgrimage grounded, clear, and well-prepared.

On our first day together, we will be picked up in Cusco and travel by van for approximately six hours through the breathtaking Sacred Valley. Passing mountain passes, traditional villages, and cloud forest landscapes, we arrive at the trailhead where our walking journey begins.
The Trek unfolds as a walking meditation

Days 1–2
We ascend toward the high pass of Vilcabamba La Antigua and descend into the cloud forest. At one of the most potent and beautiful campsites, we hold an optional Wachuma ceremony — a sacred threshold into deeper listening and communion.

Days 3–6
We move through semi-tropical forests, narrow canyons, and lush valleys, following rivers and ancient Inca paths. Along the way, we reach Espíritu Pampa — the last stronghold of the Inca Empire — where history, myth, and living Earth meet the footsteps of modern pilgrims.

Day 7
The trek concludes near Quillabamba, offering a gentle transition from the rhythm of the trail into reflection and integration. From there, we return together to Pisac in the Sacred Valley.

Integration in Community — Pisac

For the final three days, we will gather at the Michi Hampi Community in Pisac — a beautiful community space stewarded by local caretakers. Here we sleep in comfortable accommodation and allow the journey to settle more deeply into the body and heart.

These days are devoted to integration, ceremony, and celebration:
• One day dedicated to a traditional Temazcal ceremony for cleansing and renewal

• Evenings around the fire in the tipi with sharing circles and reflection

• Optional visit to the Pisac ruins for quiet contemplation

• Time to rest, journal, and land gently

• On our final day, we close the pilgrimage with the Autumn Equinox celebration — Dreaming in Unison: Emergence.

Held in the tipi, this gathering weaves song, prayer, dance, cacao, and intentional communion with land, spirit, and one another. It is both a completion and a beginning.
